So following the video of my router lathe attachment a lot of you had questions about how it works. The truth is it couldn’t be simpler, well… maybe a little.
The best thing about posting these videos and articles on the internet is the great advice I get from all the viewers. The most important point which was made, that is worth mentioning to you, is the router bit. Naturally when first used the router lathe I gave little thought to the bit I was using and headed straight for a simple straight bit.
As mentioned by a number of viewers a round nosed bit should cut a lot better. A round nosed bit will plunge far better than a straight bit can, this and a lot more is covered in the video bellow. Hope this helps.
